ASEC is committed to the personal welfare of its employees. We offer a highly competitive benefits package to assist our employees and their families in achieving immediate and long-term security, while allowing the employees to improve and enhance their professional potential.
401(k)
ASEC has established a 401(k) plan for its employees including both the Traditional 401(k) and a Roth 401(k). Employees may have one or both plans. ASEC currently matches a percentage of employees’ contributions. New employees are eligible for quarterly enrollment once they have reached 500 hours of employment and 21 years of age. In addition, ASEC currently provides a Safe Harbor plan with company contributions as well as an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
Life Insurance
ASEC pays up to 100% of the employees’ premium equal to their base pay. Additional coverage is optional.
Disability Insurance
Short Term Disability benefits are paid for by ASEC. Maternity benefits are covered through Short Term Disability.
Long Term Disability benefits are paid for by the employee with after-tax dollars through payroll deductions. All received benefits are tax-free.
Medical/Dental/Vision
ASEC offers employees a choice of three medical plans, two dental plans, and two vision plans. The medical plans are: a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan for out-of-state employees; an in-network plan for cost savings; and an out-of-network plan for maximum flexibility. All plans are high-deductible, Health Savings Account (HSA) plans. The dental plans include a traditional and PPO plan. The vision plans include a standard and enhanced plan. Eligibility begins on the 1st day of the month following the date of hire. The costs of these plans are shared with the employee. Employees who elect not to use the ASEC medical plans will receive a bi-monthly payment to help offset their insurance costs.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
ASEC currently offers an EAP that provides services such as phone access to professionals seven days a week, telephone assistance, and referral services provided through healthcare providers, including services for immediate and dependent family members.
